Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of sidexside, a women-only safety app for college students. By using sidexside, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your own safety and decisions when using sidexside. We connect you with other verified students for shared walks or rides, but we cannot guarantee anyone’s behavior or identity beyond our verification process (live selfie + “I identify as a woman” + optional ID check). Always meet in public, trust your instincts, and use your best judgment.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, sidexside and its team are not liable for any harm, injury, loss, or damages that might arise from using the app or meeting other users. You agree to use sidexside at your own risk and to hold us harmless from any claims related to your use.

Privacy

Your privacy is everything to us. We never track your location, save routes, or sell your data. All journey info and chats disappear the moment the trip ends. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in New York, NY, under American Arbitration Association rules (not in court). These Terms are governed by New York law.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll let you know by email or in-app notice. Continued use means you accept the updates.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the app.

sidexside is a community tool — not a replacement for emergency services or professional advice. Stay aware and stay safe.
