Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SideXSide, a platform connecting women for shared journeys to promote safety through community presence. By using SideXSide, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, including in-person meetups. SideXSide facilitates connections for shared travel (e.g., walks, rideshares, transit) but does not conduct criminal background checks or guarantee user identities beyond basic verification (self-report, selfie, optional ID). Exercise caution, meet in public spaces, and use personal judgment. SideXSide does not endorse or ensure the safety of any meetup.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, including Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, SideXSide and its affiliates are not liable for any harm, injury, loss, or damages arising from user interactions or meetups. You agree to indemnify and hold SideXSide harmless from any claims related to your use.
Privacy
SideXSide prioritizes privacy. No GPS trails, live tracking, or public profiles are stored. Location inputs and communications are ephemeral, deleted after each journey. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of SideXSide will be resolved through binding arbitration in New York, NY, under the American Arbitration Association’s rules, not in court. These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, excluding conflict of law principles.
Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time, with notice via email or in-app. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updates.
Termination
SideXSide may suspend or terminate your account for misuse or violation of these Terms at our discretion.
