Cohort 01 · Fall 2026 launch

Run sidexside on your campus.

Be the face of sidexside at your school. Throw the launch event. Shape the rollout. Get a founder on speed dial. Walk away with a credential a hiring manager actually recognizes — and yes, a lifetime of free product.

── § A · Why we built it

A launch isn't a marketing campaign. It's a community.

Sidexside doesn't roll out by ad spend. We roll out by waitlist density — one campus at a time, the moment there are enough verified women to actually match each other. The ambassador program is how that density shows up. You're not "promoting" the app. You're convincing the women you already trust that this one is different — and we trust you, because you live there. We don't.

── § 01 · The Perks

What you actually get.

Not a t-shirt and a discount code. Real access, real credentials, and a real seat at the table — because you'll be the one telling us what doesn't work.

P.01 · Lifetime

Lifetime free product.

The full feature stack, free, forever — for you and a designated trusted contact. Not a "first year free." Lifetime. As long as we exist.

P.01
P.02 · Access

Direct line to the founder.

Private Slack with Kaylyn and the founding team. Ask anything, escalate anything, see roadmap decisions before they ship. No PR filter.

P.02
P.03 · Early

Feature access, first.

Every new feature lands in ambassador hands weeks before the public release. Test it, break it, tell us what's wrong before anyone else sees it.

P.03
P.04 · Credential

Resume credential.

"Founding Campus Ambassador, sidexside" — with a written reference from the founder on request. Hiring managers in tech, public health, and policy recognize the program.

P.04
P.05 · Stipend

Launch stipend.

Cohort 01 ambassadors receive a per-event stipend plus a launch-week kickoff stipend. Pizza for your women's-org allies is on us. Not on you.

P.05
P.06 · Network

Founder-cohort network.

A national cohort of women leading the same launch on their own campuses. Quarterly retreats, intro-pipeline, and a recommendation network that lives past the program.

P.06
Lifetime product. Founder access. Real credential. Pick three.

── § 02 · Who we're looking for

Built for the woman already doing this.

We're not looking for "influencers." We're looking for the woman in the group chat at 11 p.m. — the one her friends already text first, and the one who's been running the safety workaround on her campus for years without anyone calling it that.

W.01 · Connector

The group-chat anchor

People text you first when they need a ride, a recommendation, or a check-in. You don't need a title to organize a room.

W.02 · Leader

The org bridge

You sit (or want to) on the women's organization, sorority leadership, or student government — somewhere with reach to the people we need to reach.

W.03 · Builder

The fix-it instinct

You've already noticed the gap. You've already had the "we shouldn't have to" conversation. You'd rather build the thing than write a complaint.

── § 03 · The Role

What you'll actually do.

Three months, real outcomes. Not "post on Instagram." The ambassador job is to make sidexside the default safety app on your campus by the time we open verification there.

You'll run

One launch event — co-hosted with a women's organization or sorority. We give you the playbook, the budget, and the swag.
Three campus partnerships — student government, Title IX office, Greek council, club sports. Whoever's the right table.
One press touchpoint — campus paper, podcast, or local news. We supply the press kit and a media trainer.
Weekly waitlist push — a 30-minute action per week. We tell you exactly what works.

We'll give you

A launch playbook — every step, every template, every email. Built from cohort 01 alpha campuses.
Event budget — venue, food, swag, photographer. Pre-funded so you don't front a cent.
Founder office hours — biweekly 1:1 with Kaylyn or a founding team member. Real strategy, not check-ins.
Crisis playbook — if something goes sideways with safety or media, you'll have a hotline and a comms lead the same day.
── § 04 · The Application

Four steps. Three weeks.

No 12-page application. We're looking for the women who'd run this anyway — so the process is built to find them, not filter them.

Step 01

Apply

One short form. .edu email, one paragraph on why your campus needs this, three names you'd bring.

Step 02

Quick call

20 minutes with a founding team member. We're not interviewing — we're meeting the person we'd hand a budget to.

Step 03

Cohort intro

If yes, you meet the cohort, get the playbook, get the Slack invite, get the launch budget.

Step 04

Launch

Three months of execution. Founder office hours every two weeks. End-of-term review + reference letter.

── § 05 · What the alpha said

Cohort 00 — the first ten.

Ten women, ten campuses, ten launch events before we even named the program. Here's what they said.

The organizer · Cohort 0001

"I'd already been running the group chat for four years. sidexside just gave me the budget and the playbook to finally do it loudly."

AnonymousJunior · Big Ten
The Title IX bridge · Cohort 0002

"The reference letter was the thing. I got into the policy grad program I wanted. Hiring committees know what 'Founding Campus Ambassador' means."

AnonymousSenior · State U
── § 06 · What we promise

This is a real job. Not a t-shirt.

P.01
We will never ask you to post sponsored content or pretend you're a customer when you're a team member. You're a founding ambassador. We'll say so.
P.02
We will pay you in stipend, product, credential, and access — not "exposure." Cohort 01 receives event stipends and a launch-week kickoff stipend, with stipend scale published to all ambassadors before they apply.
P.03
We will protect you — if a launch event goes sideways, the founding team handles press and parents. You don't carry it alone. Crisis hotline is real, not symbolic.
P.04
We will credential you — written reference from the founder on request, LinkedIn endorsement, and a network that lives past the program.
P.05
We will listen to you — every roadmap decision touches the ambassador Slack before it ships. You'll see what's wrong before we will.
── § 07 · FAQ

Ambassador questions?

The specifics on time commitment, eligibility, compensation, and what happens after the cohort ends.

Q.01Who can apply to the sidexside campus ambassador program?+
Any verified woman student at an accredited U.S. college or university with at least two semesters remaining. You need a .edu email, the ability to commit to a three-month cohort, and a real reason your campus needs sidexside. We're not selecting on GPA, follower count, or major.
Q.02How much time does the program take?+
About 4–6 hours a week across the three-month cohort, plus a single launch event (typically 8–12 hours including setup). We've designed the playbook around full course loads, lab hours, jobs, and extracurriculars — not in spite of them.
Q.03Is the sidexside ambassador role paid?+
Yes. Cohort 01 receives a launch-week kickoff stipend plus per-event stipends, with the published scale shared in onboarding. You also get lifetime free product (for you and one trusted contact), event budgets (pre-funded, you front nothing), and a written reference letter on request.
Q.04What's the "founder access" actually?+
A private ambassador Slack channel with Kaylyn Waycaster (founder) and the founding team — plus biweekly 1:1 office hours with a team member. Real strategy, real product feedback loops, real decisions made in the channel before they ship publicly.
Q.05Will the program actually look good on a resume?+
Yes. "Founding Campus Ambassador, sidexside" — with a written reference from the founder on request. The program is recognized in tech, public health, policy, and student-affairs hiring committees, and Cohort 00 alumni have used it for internship and graduate-school applications. We'll send sample resume bullet phrasing in onboarding.
Q.06What happens at the campus launch event?+
A two-hour event co-hosted with a women's organization, sorority, or student-government partner. Founder lightning talk (virtual or in person), live waitlist signup, Q&A, and a 15-minute group ambassador demo. We supply the playbook, the swag, the budget, the photographer, and a back-up speaker.
Q.07Can I apply if my campus isn't on the launch list yet?+
Yes — and we want you to. Ambassadors are the reason a campus moves up the launch list. If you're the first applicant from your school, your application acts as a waitlist priority signal too. Two strong applications from one campus typically moves us to send a launch invitation.
Q.08What happens after the three-month cohort ends?+
You stay in the alumni Slack (founder + ambassadors, indefinitely), you keep lifetime free product, you can opt into the next cohort as a peer mentor for additional stipend, and you become eligible for the Founder Network — a national group of women launching, leading, and recruiting from each other long past the program window.
Q.09What if I can't deliver everything in the playbook?+
Talk to us. Life happens — finals, family, mental health, jobs. We've already built reduced-load tracks into the program for exactly this. We'd rather have a strong ambassador running a smaller scope than a burned-out one fronting the full playbook. Soft safety. Loud impact. Same principle.
Q.10When does Cohort 01 close?+
Cohort 01 applications close 2026-07-15 for the fall 2026 launch. Cohort 02 applications open 2026-09-01 for spring 2027. Early applications get earlier campus-launch invitations — apply now even if your campus isn't on the live list.
